It all started in 1993 with a small personal ad from Ralf in a community magazine. Some felt that this appealed to them and so five or six players came together relatively quickly and then met regularly in what was then known as the “Super Bowl” in the Northwest Center. From 2004 onwards we went to “Stern Bowling” in Oberrad, which later became “Bowling Sports + Fun”. The “Bowl for Fun” in Langen has been playing since 2014.
Little by little, what was then a small group has developed into a large department that is now one of the largest and most successful LGBT* bowling groups in Europe. And Uwe, a founding member, is still active today!

Of course there is serious bowling, but fun and private interaction are also important to the department. The Queer Strikers are open to anyone who is interested and will support newcomers as best they can. The training takes place every Monday in even calendar weeks from 7:30 p.m. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing for training.
