Frankfurt has hosted the first male synchronized swimming group in Europe since 1998 and is the only one of its kind in Germany. The FVV group competes in the German Masters Championships as well as in international competitions such as the EuroGames and Gay Games.
Wednesday, 20:00 – 21:45
No training on public holidays, but we do practice during school holidays.
Before show events there may be additional training on Sundays: 9:00 – 11:00 or 19:00 – 21:00.
The ability to swim and dive up to approx. 3.50m is a prerequisite. Musicality and agility are also useful.
Swimming trunks and nose clips, but these can also be purchased from the trainer.
Synchronized swimming can be trained at FVV for the basic fee. For special performances there may be costs for an additional swimsuit. Other costs are usually covered by donations.
Synchronized swimming techniques as well as the choreographies are practised. Regular participation is very important.
During the last few years we have participated in the German “Masters” Championship competitions (non-gay) and the “Masters” workshop – we are the only male participants there and are always well-received. We make an effort to participate in the EuroGames, the GayGames and at other various competitions and show events.
