All members can take part in the boxing training. Non-FVV members can also try it out, but must become members after the third session at the latest. The training is basically aimed at beginners and those who already have basic knowledge or want to get back into boxing. But there is plenty to interest advanced participants, too.
Sportswear such as T-shirt, shorts or tracksuit bottoms, clean indoor sports shoes. Do not walk on the training mats in outdoor shoes. Bandages for the hands are strongly recommended (10 EUR at centre). Boxing gloves can be provided initially. For hygienic reasons we recommend you buy your own gloves if you participate regularly – approx. 40 EUR.
For boxing, there is a surcharge of 13 EUR per month on top of the FVV basic fee. Compared to other boxing schools, this is very reasonably priced. In addition, you can take part in all the other surcharge-free sports offered by FVV.
The training is basically aimed at beginners and those who already have basic knowledge or want to get back into boxing. But there is plenty to interest advanced participants, too. There is no obligation to participate in sparring rounds (training competitions).
Recently, LGBT* boxing groups have also been established in other cities (Cologne, Munich, Bremen etc.). Exchanges and participation in competitions are planned.
