Boxing

Interested in getting fit from head to toe, forgetting everything else and blowing off steam? Then boxing training is just the thing for you. Boxing strengthens the entire body muscles, trains strength, speed, concentration and agility and burns more calories than almost any other sport.

By car: Via freeway A661, exit “Taunusring”. Then follow Taunusring and Odenwaldring and turn right into Waldstraße. Then take the first right into Schreberstraße. Parking spaces are available.

Public transport: S1, S2, S8 or S9 to Offenbach “Marktplatz”. Change to bus 101 direction “Bieber” or bus 30 direction “Hainhausen” until bus stop “Offenbach Post”.

All members can take part in the boxing training. Non-FVV members can also try it out, but must become members after the third session at the latest. The training is basically aimed at beginners and those who already have basic knowledge or want to get back into boxing. But there is plenty to interest advanced participants, too.

Sportswear such as T-shirt, shorts or tracksuit bottoms, clean indoor sports shoes. Do not walk on the training mats in outdoor shoes. Bandages for the hands are strongly recommended (10 EUR at centre). Boxing gloves can be provided initially. For hygienic reasons we recommend you buy your own gloves if you participate regularly – approx. 40 EUR.

For boxing, there is a surcharge of 8 EUR per month on top of the FVV basic fee. In return, you can use all the other facilities of the Challenge – Club Offenbach (e.g. the fitness area) on our training day. Compared to other boxing schools, this is very reasonably priced. In addition, you can take part in all the other sports offered by FVV.

The training lasts 60 minutes and is led by a professional coach. Changing rooms and showers are available. Basic techniques, speed, endurance and coordination are trained. There is no obligation to participate in sparring rounds (training competitions).

Recently, LGBT* boxing groups have also been established in other cities (Cologne, Munich, Bremen etc.). Exchanges and participation in competitions are planned.
