Dancing? For many, a ghastly memory of pubescent middle schoolers in braces that unwillingly stepped on your feet once a week and then sweated beneath the eyes of the parents at the graduation dance. After that, you swore, “never again!”
Let us show you that dancing can be completely different. Few types of sport develop coordination, a sense of rhythm and of body position – and, by the way, a bootylicious butt – like dance! With us, there’s a reason to move! Join us Mondays for beginners or experts – dancing with Berk, our magnificent and funny dance instructor or with our cooperation partner Artemis.
- You find the dance music of Victor Silvester and company completely dreary? Have no fear! Berk also plays the current danceable hits.
- You don’t know what to wear? With us, everything is relaxed. Just come as you are. Top hat and tails are not required.
- You think you can’t move? We’ll show you how it goes.
- You don’t have a dance partner? No problem! Should you not find anyone acceptable in our singles exchange, then one of us will dance with you for a start.
- You have no more excuses? Excellent! Then come along and have fun! We look forward to seeing you!
We do not dance during school vacations, Carnival Monday, on “Wäldchestag” and public holidays.

In the beginners’ course the first basic steps in the different Standard and Latin dances are taught. Previous knowledge is not necessary. Members of the FVV and Artemis can participate. Those interested may come three times to try out.
The training for advanced dancers serves to deepen and expand the dancing skills in the different Standard and Latin dances. Here, already known step sequences are repeated as well as new figures are learned. Anyone who has a basic knowledge of Standard and/or Latin dances or has previously attended a beginner’s course can participate.
Do you have to come to the training regularly? The more regular the better. Regular attendance is not a requirement to participate in training. However, for our courses (basic / advanced / special) regular attendance is highly recommended.
Courses see german pages.
For dancing, a surcharge of 8 EUR per month is added to the FVV basic fee. For this you can also participate in all other sports offers of the FVV.
Please wear comfortable clothes and bring dancing shoes if you have them. You should also bring drinks with you to the sports hall.
So far we have no couple that participates in tournaments.
In December 2019, as part of the FVV XMAS Tournament for the first time an Equality Dance tournament in cooperation with the TSC dance etc.! took place. A continuation is planned!
At the annual Frankfurt CSD Pride in summer, the FVV is part of the parade and we as a dance division run along and study in advance a choreography that is danceable for everyone.
