Tennis

Tennis is a technically demanding and tactically challenging game and has been a popular racket sport in Germany for many years. After an initial phase from 1896 to 1924, tennis became an Olympic sport again in 1988. The FVV tennis programme is organised in cooperation with OTC Offenbacher Tennisclub.

Special dates / Summer season

Tuesdays & Fridays (from 18:00): This are our group days when anyone can play against anyone else – which is especially ideal for new members.

Everyone who wants to play registers within the Klubraum app – so you know who is coming in advance. The places are not guaranteed, but depend on availability on the day itself, but it almost always works out.

A trial session for newcomers is possible after prior registration with the head of division – simply get in touch in advance.

Winter season

In the winter season, FVV members can rent indoor courts (carpet) at their own expense.

There is also an FVV group that regularly rents courts in the hall on Sundays from 17:00. Fees depend on the number of participants. Information on this is available from the tennis section head before the start of the winter season.

Anyone who enjoys playing tennis can take part. A certain level of ability is required. Special training sessions for beginners are not offered, but can be arranged if required. If you are interested, you can take part in trial training sessions. For this, an 10 EUR guest token must be purchased for the courts.

Regular participation is of course not compulsory. However, we are especially delighted to welcome all those who attend on a frequent basis. To make sure you don’t miss out on anything, there is also a WhatsApp group.

Rackets, balls and tennis shoes for the clay court.

For tennis, there is a surcharge of 8 EUR per month on top of the basic FVV fee. It is not possible to resign from the club during the year. Coaches also have to be paid in addition – by the members themselves. In addition, you can also participate in all the other sports offered by the FVV.

Training sessions for beginners and advanced players can be arranged. The costs for this are to be paid by the participants themselves.

We regularly play in tournaments of the GLTA Tour (http://glta.tournamentsoftware.com). We have also taken part in various Outgames, Gay Games, EuroGames and World Outgames. We also play in various men’s teams at the Offenbach Tennis Club. Each summer, there is also a special FVV tournament.
