You’re thinking about stopping by sometime? Do it! You are very welcome! We are always looking forward to new players – no matter if you are a beginner or an experienced badminton player! We are one of the largest departments in the FVV and with over 100 regular players we can guarantee that there are always interesting partners for every playing level. Although we are a gay sports club, it is important for us that we are at the same time so relaxed that women and straight also take part in our activities and that new Frankfurters in particular quickly find new acquaintances and friends in addition to sports activities.

If you would like to join us for the first time, it is helpful to get in touch with us in advance – this way we make sure that someone from the division heads is also there to answer your questions and make it easier for you to get started. If you are interested, please focus the Tuesday in Frankfurt or the Friday in Darmstadt.

For sports you should bring indoor shoes with light soles. A racket would be good, but is not absolutely necessary. If known to us, we will bring you one. Nylon shuttles are provided by the club.

The basic membership fee covers all hall and trainer costs. Nylon shuttles are also provided by the club. Before we ask you to join, you can come along three times free of charge and without obligation – just to try it out. In addition to the regular membership fee, there are also reduced fees (e.g. for students). As a member, you can also take part in all other surcharge-free sports in the FVV.

For beginners we offer a special one-hour training on Tuesday. Here beginners are taught the rules of the game, the handling of the racquet, the basic types of strokes and the correct running technique.

FVV Badminton also provides a team in the Hessian league operation. To strengthen our team, we are still looking for enthusiastic ladies who can imagine playing with us in the Bezirksliga B / Frankfurt (“district league”).

Our players also take part in many LGBT* tournaments all over Europe. And in December, as part of the FVV XMAS Multisport Tournament, we organize the Badminton competition, which is one of the most popular regular meeting places for avid LGBT* badminton players from all over Europe.
