XMAS 2022: Photos and results are online!

From December 2 to 4, Frankfurt was once again the heart of queer sports in Europe for a weekend with the FVV XMAS Multisport Tournament. Athletes traveled from over 20 countries to do sports, have fun, exchange ideas, meet old friends and make new ones. With well over 1,000 participants and the eight sports of Badminton, Bowling, RainbowRun, Swimming, Competitive Shooting, Squash, Equality Dancing and Volleyball, it was also one of the biggest in the club’s history.

Already the check-in on Friday evening was a great success. At times, several hundred athletes were present at the same time at the bustling come-together, getting the latest information about the sports events and using the relaxed get-together for networking. The competitions on Saturday were all well attended and excellently organized. All-time participant records were set for the RainbowRun, Volleyball and Badminton. The big XMAS party was exuberant and lasted until the early morning hours. At the final brunch, City Councillor Mike Josef, in his function as Frankfurt’s Head of Sports and patron of the tournament, addressed warm and moving words to the participants.

We are very happy that we also received strong support from business and society. Mainova, for example, was once again a sponsor. A big thank you also goes to the Sportkreis Frankfurt for its support, the Amt für multikulturelle Angelegenheiten, the Sportamt and the Bäderbetriebe, the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs and the TuS Makkabi. And most importantly, over 200 members were there as volunteers and made this event a weekend full of passion, flair, community and friendship.
