Five FVV teams take part in the IRONMAN NightRun

The IRONMAN NightRun is held as part of the legendary IRONMANS in Frankfurt. A few days before the actual main race, the NightRun is held as a relay race in which teams of three start. The run is also a charity run and the proceeds will be donated to the foundation Sporthilfe Hessen. The starting signal will be given at 19 hrs, which means that the run will take place directly into the setting evening sun and the skyline will be particularly impressive. The running course itself leads the whole time directly along the water and the Main is crossed twice.

And of course we, the FVV, were also present at this spectacular event: Our running department organized a total of 15 athletes – that means we were able to send five teams of three into the race. Each team member runs five kilometers and then passes on his or her start number to the next team member in the transition zone. Such a run is of course a sporting challenge, but also a goosebump community experience when the individual FVV team members meet on the course or all wait together in the starting area until the team is complete again.

Anyone who now feels like running is invited to the FVV running group every Wednesday at 18:30 hrs at the Ignatz-Bubis Bridge or Thursdays at 18:30 hrs at vielbunt sport* at Memoryfield in Darmstadt.
