For beginners, we regularly offer crash courses to learn the basics and be prepared for the trial training in the boxing gym. The next crash course will take place on 20 and 27.10.2026.
You can register for the crash course by e-mail here: kampfsport@fvv.org

Interested athletes who already have boxing or other martial arts experience can start directly with the trial training in the boxing gym. Please register here by e-mail: kampfsport@fvv.org

Usual sportswear such as T-shirt, short or long sports pants, clean indoor sports shoes.
You will also need your own bandages for training (including crash course or trial training).

Boxing gloves can be provided for trial training. After the end of the trial training, you will need your own boxing gloves.

Later, depending on your preference, martial arts shoes are also recommended. However, training in socks is also not uncommon.

To be on the safe side, a mouthguard is also recommended for trial training, even if you don’t want to do sparring. When sparring (optional), many athletes also wear headgear.

For members of the FVV boxing team, a surcharge of 16 EUR per month is added to the FVV basic fee.
As an FVV member, you can also take part in all free sports activities for the basic fee.

The training is divided into warm-up, technique, strength and/or sparring phases.

The training is demanding, especially in terms of strength endurance, but also suitable for beginners. You will see your efforts pay off and your fitness will improve with just a few weeeks of consistent training.

The intensity of the exercises can be adapted to your own fitness.

Participation in sparring is voluntary. If you don’t like sparring, you are not alone with us.
Many of our members appreciate the sporting and mental challenge of boxing, but some decide not to participate in sparring or limit themselves to body sparring.
Those who do not want to participate in sparring will receive another exercise task from the trainer.
