At the Frankfurt Sports Evening, athletes who have achieved outstanding success in German championships as well as international European and world championships over the past two years are honoured. Among the approximately 500 honourees in attendance were five artistic swimmers from the FVV – a strong sign for our club and for the visibility of queer athletes in Frankfurt.
The event began with a reception in St. Paul’s Church, where Mayor and Sports Councillor Mike Josef welcomed the guests before the formal awards ceremony took place. Afterwards, a get-together in the Ratskeller and the Römerhallen provided an opportunity for conversation and celebration.
These awards are an impressive demonstration of how successful FVV athletes are on the national and international stage.
