Swimming is the ideal sport to train fitness and muscles at the same time. During swimming training – whether breaststroke, crawl or backstroke – all muscle groups are worked evenly. Sporty swimming is an effective cardiovascular workout and promotes fitness and endurance.

Anyone over the age of 18 who can swim can participate. Swimming courses for non-swimmers are not offered. Depending on the training day there are up to five lanes with a different layout. On Saturday we offer one lane for free swimming.
Swimming trunks and swimming goggles.
The basic fee covers all entrance, hall and trainer costs. Before we approach you for membership, you can participate three times free without obligation. In addition to the affordable membership fee, there are also reduced fees, e.g. for students, and also temporary memberships. Furthermore, as a member you can also participate in all other surcharge-free sports of the club.
We organize a training camp once a year to prepare intensively for tournaments and competitions. We participate both nationally and internationally at championships of swimming federations as well as in numerous LGBT* tournaments.
The following tournaments are regularly scheduled every year:
- February: Valentine’s Day Tournament, alternating annually between Vienna and Amsterdam
- March/April: Düssel-Cup in Düsseldorf, always one week before Easter
- May/June: Hessische Mastersmeisterschaften (the Hessian Masters Swimming Championships), organized by the Hessischer Schwimmverband e.V.
- Summer: Participation in the EuroGames and every four years the Gay Games
- December: To celebrate the end of the year, the FVV traditionally organizes the popular X-Mas tournament in Frankfurt on the weekend of the 2nd Advent. The swimmers organize the swimming competition and also actively take part themselves.
We also take part in other competitions depending on what is on offer and interest.
