Tennis

When?

During the summer, season strarts in April, we offer the following training sessions at the Offenbacher Tennis Club:

Tuesday 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.  (open play)

Friday 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.  (training with coach)

During the winter, indoor courts  can be rented at one's own expense. For more information please contact the division head.

Helene-Meyer-Str. 4–6, Offenbach am Main
Take the 16 tram and exit at the station "Stadtgrenze Offenbach."

Must I attend training regularly?

Regular attendance is not mandatory.  You must, though, register in advance with the division head for the pre-reserved courts:  this ensures that there are enough courts for all to play.

Who may attend?

Anyone who enjoys playing tennis is welcome.  Please note that special training instruction for beginners is not currently being offered.  But if interest is there, speak with the division head and we'll see what we can arrange.

What must I bring?

Tennis racquet, tennis balls and tennis shoes for use on a clay court.  And yes, your shoes will be red afterwards!

Racquets can be provided for a sample training.

Does it cost me any more than the basic FVV membership fee?

Starting with the fourth time you attend, you must pay double the normal FVV membership fee (19 € per month), which is then due throughout the calendar year.  You can only cancel your FVV tennis membership annually.

Does the group also participate in tournaments and workshops?

Yes.  We have participated, among others, the Outgames 2009 in Copenhagen and the GayGames 2010 in Cologne.
