Swimming

When?

Monday (not during the outdoor swimming season!):
9:00 – 10:00 p.m.  Textorbad.
No training is held during the outdoor swimming season (“Freibadsaison”, weather-dependent, between May and September).

Wednesday (only during the outdoor swimming season!):

8:00 – 9.45 p.m.  Riedbad.
Training is held only during the outdoor swimming season (“Freibadsaison”, weather-dependent, between May and September).

Thursday:
8:30 – 10:00 p.m.  International School ("Internationale Schule"). No training is held during school vacations!

Saturday:
8:00 – 9:45 p.m.  Riedbad.

9:30 p.m.  “Wanners” (Stammtisch)

Where?

Monday (not during the outdoor swimming season!):

Wednesday (only during the outdoor swimming season!):
Riedbad, Fritz-Schubert-Ring 2, Frankfurt-Bergen-Enkheim.

Thursday:
"Internationale Schule," Albert-Blank-Straße 50, Frankfurt-Sindlingen.

Saturday:
Riedbad, Fritz-Schubert-Ring 2, Frankfurt-Bergen-Enkheim.

After the Saturday training session, the swimmers meet for their regular weekly "Stammtisch" at the restaurant "Wanners" at Oeder Weg 80, Frankfurt-Nordend, starting around 9.30 p.m. Even if you are a new swimmer who has not yet participated in training and just wants to check us out, you are very welcome as well!

Must I attend training regularly?

No.

Who may attend?

Anyone 18 years of age and above, who can swim, is welcome.  We do not offer courses for non-swimmers.  We use five courses to swim laps:  one for beginners, one for "open swim," and three for training (different levels).

What must I bring?

Swmming trunks and swimming goggles.  We provide everything else (e.g., boards, paddles).

Does it cost me any more than the basic FVV membership fee?

No.

Does the group also participate in tournaments and workshops?

Twice a year we host a training camp im Grünberg (in Hessen, 80 km from Frankfurt), where we train intensively to prepare for tournaments, like the EuroGames, the FVV XMAS Tournament and other international competitions.
