When?
Tuesday
7:00 – 10:00 p.m. Open play for advanced players.
Note: Only one court is available for play.
Wednesday
7:00 – 9:45 p.m. in two separate halls:
Hall 1 (large): Open play for beginners and newcomers with instruction
and supervision.
Hall 2 (small): Open play for advanced players.
Friday
7:00 – 10:00 p.m. in two separate halls:
Hall 1 (downstairs): Open play for beginners and newcomers with instruction
and supervision.
Hall 2 (upstairs): Open play for advanced players.
No training is held on holidays and during school vacations.
Where?
Tuesday: Gym of the Textorschule, Textorstraße 104 in Frankfurt (Sachsenhausen). The entrance to the gym is in the Schwanthaler Str.
Take the tram line 15 or 16 and exit at the station "Schwanthaler Sraße" or take the subway line U1, U2 or U3 and exit at the station "Schweizer Platz" or take any of the S-Bahn lines and exit at the station "Frankfurt-Süd."
Wednesday: Gyms of the Philipp-Holzmann-Schule, Siolistr. 41 in Frankfurt.
Take the subway line U1, U2 or U3 and exit at the station "Miquelallee/Adickesallee".
Friday: Gyms of the Goethe-Gymnasium, Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage 24 in Frankfurt.
Take the tram line 16 or 17 and exit at the station "Hohenstaufenstraße" or "Platz der Republik" or take the subway line U4 and exit at the "Festhalle/Messe" stop or take any S-Bahn and exit at the "Hauptbahnhof" stop (from there it's a 5-minute walk).
Must I attend training regularly?
Training is open and available to all FVV members. Regular attendance is not mandatory. However, coming regularly helps you improve and play better, and most importantly helps integrate you into the group.
Who may attend?
We welcome all newcomers, with or without prior experience. The size of our group ensures that you will always be able to find a playing partner at your level. Our group is open and welcoming. We also have several women and non-gay members who participate on a regular basis.
Newcomers and beginning players are requested to attend the Wednesday session in the large gym and/or the Friday session in the downstairs gym.
What must I bring?
A racquet and gym shoes. We provide the shuttlecocks.
Does it cost me any more than the basic FVV membership fee?
No.
Does the group also participate in tournaments and workshops?
Our badminton group loves to travel and participates in all of the major European tournaments. In December we play in the FVV XMAS Tournament, which counts as one of the major annual badminton tournaments in Europe.
